Ice Bath

Ice baths have been used for centuries as a therapeutic practice to enhance physical recovery and overall well-being. These can also help to reduce inflammation, and boost circulation, mood and metabolism.

Tips for the Ice Bath:

  • Make sure you are well-hydrated and avoid having a large meal before the session.

  • After the ice bath, it is best to let your body warm up naturally by jogging or walking. After at least a few minutes then it is okay to go in the sauna or steam room.

  • Stay calm and focus on your breath. We recommend triangular breathing to help your body adapt to the cold: 4 seconds inhale, 4 seconds exhale, 4 seconds hold.

  • If you are new to ice baths, we recommend you start with a shorter duration (5-10 minutes) and gradually increase your time as your tolerance improves.

  • Regular ice baths can maximise their benefits, especially when incorporated into a strong wellness routine.
